Bakrid prayers held in Ranchi amidst tight security, social media being monitored

Ranchi, July 10: Namaz was offered in various mosques in Ranchi on the occasion of Bakrid. During this, a large number of security forces were deployed at various squares and intersections in Ranchi.

The first Namaz was read in Alfalah Mosque located in New Parastoli, Doranda, whereas the last Namaz will be read in Ranchi Idgah. Namaz was offered in all different mosques from 6 to 9 in the morning.

The district administration is in alert mode to avoid any untoward incident regarding Bakrid. Significantly, an alert has been issued in Jharkhand regarding Bakrid. Sensitive places in Jharkhand are being monitored with CCTV cameras.

Additional security forces have been deployed in Ranchi. The administration is also keeping an eye on social media. A Rapid Action Force has been deployed at all sensitive places. RAP, ZAP, and IRB personnel from Jharkhand Police have also been deployed in the capital.

After the violence in Ranchi on June 10, the police are on high alert mode. The 170 CCTV cameras have been installed at 170 locations to keep an eye on the entire city and are being monitored from the control room. Around 1000 soldiers have been deployed in the city.
