Ranchi, July 14: Cardiology department professor of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Dr Hemant Narayan today replied to the show-cause notice issued by the additional director (administration) on July 11 giving a deadline of three days to reply.
A RIMS insider informed this saying the development took place in the afternoon saying in the reply the doctor has raised objection over the enclosure of IT documents saying how come the IT letter issued on January 4 has been annexed with the show cause notice on July 11 while that matter has been settled.
There was an allegation of private practice. On which the doctor has clarified that such allegation was leveled earlier and the reply in that matter has already been given. The doctor pointed out last time when he was available on the campus but it was alleged that he was absent during duty hour.
“Through the letter the professor has clarified his stand and attempted to say that the allegation against him is baseless as he has always extended his service to RIMS properly. It is expected that the matter will come to an end after the reply,” the insider said without sharing the exact details.
On July 11, the professor was asked to reply how he was doing private practice at his residential premises and Comprehensive Care Centre in Bariatu when this is not permissible. The RIMS additional director has annexed the IT letter to substantiate his allegation and sought his reply within three days that ended today.
Dr Narayan could not be contacted for his comment on the matter.
