CM offers building art gallery to cherish paintings of talented artists

Ranchi, July 19: Riya Tirkey, Femina Miss India 2022 finalist, who had represented Jharkhand in the competition, met Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister congratulated Tirkey for achieving such a position in the prestigious competition and honoured her through a memento. The CM further said that she was the first tribal daughter of Jharkhand who had achieved a position in the Grand Finale of Femina Miss India-2022 due to her talent, dedication and hard work.

He said, “You have had the best performance in the entire competition. Entire Jharkhand is proud of your achievement. May you achieve more heights ahead. Many best wishes to you.”

CM Soren added that there is no dearth of talent among the tribal and regional artists of Jharkhand. They have been continuously showcasing their talent. However, due to some problems, they are facing difficulties in establishing themselves on big platforms.

The state government notices this and plans to work on it. The government is making constant efforts to support its artists in every way. Financial assistance is being provided to them, so that they can bring laurels to the state with their performance.

The Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of talented painters in the state. There is a lot of interest especially among children towards painting. His beautiful sketching simply captivates the mind. The government is contemplating to set up an art gallery to cherish the paintings made by them. Not only this, whatever support is needed for these artists to move forward will be provided to them.

Tirkey expressed her gratitude for the support extended by the Chief Minister. She said that as a result of him re-tweeting what she had tweeted earlier in support of the journey till the Grand Finale of Femina Miss India-2022, she had garnered several supporters. “I got a lot of love from the whole country including Jharkhand,” she added.

She further informed the Chief Minister that she was interested to work in Jharkhand, if given such an opportunity.

Riya Tirkey was present on the occasion with family members including Virendra Kumar Pardhia, Sanju Pardhia, Vijay Kumar Pardhia, Sarita Pardhia, along with Documentary filmmaker Pawan Bada of Jhargram, Zumba Instructor from Vietnam Sujit Tigga, Jharkhand Tribal Artist S Oraon and Founder of Johar Group & Khadi Wala Ashish Satyavrat Sahu were present on the occasion.
