Patna, July 22: Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, on Thursday congratulated Droupadi Murmu, the NDA candidate, on becoming the nation’s new president.
“I heartily congratulate Droupadi Murmu on her victory in the Presidential Election 2022,” Kumar said in a statement.

Along with the Chief Minister, Murmu has received congratulations from the leaders of the other NDA parties for winning the presidential election.
Congratulating Murmu on being elected as the President, BJP’s Bihar State President Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal said.
Tarkishore Prasad, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, and Sanjay Jaiswal, the state’s BJP president, both congratulated Murmu on her victory.
To succeed Ram Nath Kovid as the nation’s fifteenth president, Murmu received more than 64% of the legitimate votes, easily defeating joint opposition nominee Yashwant Sinha.
