Daltonganj, Aug 4: A meeting for harmony among people of various faith in wake of the ongoing Muharram occasion was held on Wednesday in the town thana building wherein participation of people of the major two faith was very high.

SDO Sadar Rajesh Kumar Sah said he phoned many not to miss this meeting and they honoured him by coming over. It was the first harmony meeting of the new officer in charge of the town police station Abhay Kumar Sinha.

Many residents of Daltonganj told the lagatar24.com correspondent that this new officer in charge Sinha has no preconceived notions of the people and that connects the public to police here now more. Sources said it is peace but what is missing is harmony and that is to be balanced.

The administration is to be equipped with a fire brigade, drinking water tankers, crowd managing forces, ambulances in the event of anyone getting hurt during the display of the martial arts and big of all adequate public address system to communicate to the public in general.

Muharram’s occasion has coincided with the Disney World fair in Daltonganj which is drawing huge crowds every day and hence, traffic management is said to be the highest priority to the police here.

As the Tazias will be taller this time than all the previous years, volunteers are expected to ensure that no overhead electricity wire gets broken or sagged down.

Similarly, Nishans will also be more in numbers this time.

The Muharram Inteezamiya Committee is to ensure a timeline for all its public exhibition be it the performance of the ‘Gole’ or the passage of the Tazias or its confluence before the Pehlam.
