Ranchi, Aug 25: Jharkhand DGP Neeraj Sinha expressed his ignorance about the recovery of two assault rifles with 60 rounds of live cartridges during the ED raid at the rented house of power broker Prem Prakash in Harmu on Wednesday.
This came to the fore when Union Minister Arjun Munda asked the DGP for information regarding the recovery and later expressed his ignorance saying he did not get a report in this connection.
Munda shared the information through social media expressing his concern over the situation.
“Is mamle mein main Jab Jharkhand ke DGP se baat ki to unhone kaha ki abhi tak unko report nahi mili. Rajdhani me hui itni badi ghatna ke report DGP ko nahi milna gambhir vishay hai (When I asked Jharkhand DGP he said he had not got the report. Having no report of such a big incident is a serious matter),” Munda shared through social media.
Munda, while sharing the ignorance of the Jharkhand DGP regarding the recovery of two assault rifles, questioned the role of the police team in the Jharkhand capital.

It was said that the rifles belong to two police personnel deputed as bodyguards. On which, the union minister has asked the name of the bodyguards, their place of deputation and the person behind whom they were deputed.
It was said by the Ranchi police that the bodyguards kept the fire weapons at Prem Prakash’s residence to save it from rainwater. On this, the union minister has expressed his disagreement saying the reason given by the police is ridiculous.
The union minister sharing the information regarding ignorance of Jharkhand DGP has raised a demand for a probe into the matter by an independent agency.
