Ranchi, Aug 25: Jharkhand CMO said on Thursday that it has not received any communication either from ECI or Governor regarding the disqualification suggestion of Chief Minister Hemant Soren by ECI.

“The Chief Minister is apprised of several media reports about ECI sending a report to Jharkhand Governor apparently recommending his disqualification as an MLA. No communication in this regard has been received by CMO from either ECI or Governor,” said Jharkhand CMO.

Meanwhile, CM Hemant Soren targeted Godda BJP MP Nishikant Dubey for circulating that kind of news regarding his disqualification. He also slammed the media as well saying they themselves drafted ECI report, which is otherwise sealed.

“It seems BJP leaders including a BJP MP and his puppet journalists themselves drafted ECI report, which is otherwise sealed. Blatant misuse of constitutional authorities & public agencies & its takeover by BJP HQ in shameful manner is unseen in Indian Democracy,” said CM according to the CMO.

Notably, the Election Commission of India (ECI) is said to have reported its opinion to Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais regarding the office of the profit case of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

The CM stands disqualified following the opinion of the Election Commission of India (ECI). According to well-placed sources, the ECI held him guilty under Section 9 A of the People’s Representation Act 1951 for misusing his office for pecuniary gain. The ECI in its opinion communicated to the Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais and maintained that as the Chief Minister and the minister of the mining department he secured a stone mining lease in his name at Angara in Ranchi.
