Dhanbad, Aug 25: A three-member Passengers Service Committee (PSC) of the Railway Board on Thursday assessed the available facilities for passengers at three railway stations including Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Gomoh, Parasnath and Koderma railway stations of Dhanbad Rail Division on the first day and took the feedback from people.
Senior public relations officer of Dhanbad Rail Division PK Mishra said that the team comprising Shivraj Kumar Gandge, Surma Padhi and Gurvinder Singh Sethi took stock of facilities being provided to the passengers at these railway stations.
The team first reached Gomoh railway station and inspected the condition of the platform, ticket booking office, drinking water booths, waiting room condition, washroom and eatery stalls and the quality of their goods.
The visiting team of Delhi also talked with the passengers at the railway station and registered their comments on available facilities being provided by station management and suggestions for improvement in services.
The Passengers Service Committee in course of inspection visited Parasnath and Koderma railway stations and assessed the available facilities there in the presence of senior officers rail division and interacted with the passengers. They also tried to take notes on the problem they are facing in travelling in trains.
Besides Gomoh, Parasnath and Koderma railway stations, the railway Board team would also visit Hazaribagh Road, Barkakana, Garhwa Road Chopan, and Singrauli railway stations in their three-day tour of Jharkhand which started on Wednesday.
As per the notification of the Railway Board, a seven-member committee was scheduled to inspect the railway station under the Dhanbad Rail Division of East Central Railway but on the first day, only three members of the committee reached Dhanbad.
