New Delhi, Aug 29: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s statement in the case involving the controversial photoshoot was recorded by Mumbai Police.
Around 7 am, Ranveer Singh arrived at the Chembur Police Station, and he left at 9 am. According to police, the investigating officer will call him again if necessary.
According to Sections 292, 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as Sections 509 and 67(A) of the Information Technology (IT) Act, the actor had been booked for obscenity. After a complaint was submitted seeking action against Singh for hurting sentiments and insulting women’s modesty, a FIR was filed against him at the Chembur police station.
In July 21, pictures from the Simmba actor’s PAPER magazine shoot had gone viral. What followed later for a flood and comments, tweets and memes. While Ranveer was backed by many in the film industry, some felt that his images were inappropriate for social media sharing.
