Deoghar, Sept 9: The Deoghar Municipal Corporation has geared up to take stern action against the irregularities in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) in the urban areas.
DMC CEO Shailendra Lal held a review meeting of PMAY on Thursday with the concerned officers and field staff wherein it was revealed that 615 beneficiaries have not even started the foundation work of their houses. As per rule, the first installation of funds will be allotted only after the foundation work is done.
The DMC administration has categorically announced that the names of such applicants will be omitted from the list of beneficiaries within a week.
On the other hand, there are 612 such beneficiaries who have not completed the part of the construction work for which they have been credited the fund. They will have to face a certificate case. They will be intimated through the post soon.
All the concerned field staff have been strictly instructed to follow the procedures otherwise be ready to face disciplinary action.
CEO Shailendra Lal has categorically said not a single deserving applicant be deprived of PMAY otherwise concerned surveyors will be responsible and action will also be taken against him.
The meeting was attended by city manager Mrinal Kumar technical expert Navnit Raj and COs as well as staff of agencies.
