Ranchi SSP suspends Pundag OP in-charge for delaying FIR registration

Ranchi, Sept 15: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kaushal Kishore suspended Pundag OP officer-in-charge Arvind Kumar Singh for registering an FIR one year after getting a complaint. The complaint was related to a money dispute.

The development took place after complainant Suraj Singh knocked on the door of the SSP sharing this problem due to the delay in registration of FIR and the SSP get his complaint verified by Hatia Dy SP Raj Kumar Mitra, who verified the matter at his level and found it true.

The SSP while putting Singh under suspension posted a 2018 batch inspector Vivek Kumar in his place.

A police official said the action was taken for negligent behaviour as it is expected from a police officer that they do not delay the registration of FIR. The official said that there were other complaints against Singh also.
