Ranchi, Sept 29: The issue of the sports kit crisis has come to the fore as many players of Jharkhand are participating in the 36th National Games in Gujarat. As per sources, many players have not been provided with the official blazer and shoes that athletes are supposed to wear during the inauguration ceremony.

The inauguration of the event was done by PM Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad today.

Notably, former Jharkhand CM Babulal Marandi has strongly criticised the state government regarding the lack of sports kits. People have used social media to show their anger and said that the players who bring glory to the state are not even lucky to have shoes.

Moreover, only Rs 5,000 have been given to the players for the kit. In comparison, states like Bihar, Odisha and Maharashtra have given Rs 15,000-20,000 to their players.
