Patna, Sept 30: Bablu Singh, a BJP leader and contractor, was shot at in the Friends colony of Arrah by unidentified gunmen.
The BJP leader was ambushed by armed criminals while out on a morning walk. He was shot at close range, according to the authorities.
“He was on a morning walk and was shot at by armed criminals today. He was shot from a close range. His health condition is stable now. Police investigation underway,” said SP Himanshu.

The incident occurs in the midst of allegations of a rise in crime made by the opposition BJP.
Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, presided over a high-level gathering of the state’s top police officers earlier this month and discussed the state’s overall law and order situation.
