Jharkhand HC rejects bail plea of Ranchi Civil Court advocate murder case accused

Ranchi, Oct.14: Imdad Ansari, who allegedly killed Ranchi Civil Court Advocate Manoj Jha, did not get any relief from the Jharkhand High Court.

The high court rejected his bail plea after Jharkhand High Court lawyer Hemant Shikarwar subimitted before the court that the advocate was murdered because he refused to drop the case of his client despite threats of dire consequences in case not doing so. Advocate B K Ojha argued on behalf of the accused.

The matter was heard in the court of Justice Ratnakar Bhengra. According to the relatives of late advocate Jha, advocate Hemant Shikarwar did not charge any fee to fight his case.

Advocate Jha was shot dead last year in Tamad. Several people have been made accused in this murder case many of them are in judicial custody. The High Court has already dismissed the bail petitions of the two accused in the case.
