Jamshedpur, Nov 23: Most parts of  Jharkhand has witnessed a drop in minimum temperature in the past couple of days and the chill will intensify in the days to come, predicted weathermen at IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre.

The Met department issued a forecast of dry weather in Jharkhand today (Wednesday).

A bulletin issued by the Met department said that the night readings were expected to witness a further fall from Thursday. Met officials predicted a two to three-degree Celsius fall in the night reading after the next 24 hours.

Places like Simdega, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Daltonganj, Khunti and Jamshedpur recorded temperatures two to three degrees below normal due to dominating north-westerly winds.

With a dip in temperatures, the early morning fog was also witnessed at several places across Jharkhand including Jamshedpur.

Head of Ranchi Met Centre Abhishek Anand said the weather will remain dry in Jharkhand for the rest of the week. “There is no possibility of rain in the coming days. Light to moderate fog will prevail in the morning, ” he said.
