New Delhi, Nov 27: ‘Austra Hind-22′, the joint military exercise between armies of Australia and India will begin at Rajasthan on November 28.
The joint military exercise scheduled to take place at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan is aimed to build “positive: military ties, imbibe each other’s best practices and promote the ability to operate together, the Ministry of Defence said in the press release.
Notably, the period between November 28 and December 11 is designated for the joint military exercise “Austra Hind-22.” The Ministry of Defense emphasised that it is the first exercise under “Austra Hind” in which every arm and service component from the two countries’ military has taken part. The Australian army force, which consists of men from the 2nd Division’s 13th Brigade, has landed in Rajasthan.
The Dogra regiment will send soldiers to represent the Indian Army in the joint exercise with Australia. The “Austra Hind” will be an annual event that alternates between India and Australia, according to the Defence Ministry.
According to the statement, the joint military exercise will allow the two armies to exchange best practises in tactical operations at the company and platoon levels to neutralise hostile threats.
A high level of situational awareness, training on new generation equipment and specialist weapons, including snipers, surveillance and communication equipment, casualty management, evacuation, and logistics planning have all been planned, according to the Ministry of Defence.
