Daltonganj, December 11: The St Mariam school on Sunday organised a Parents’ Teachers’ meeting for students of classes Nursery to IV in Daltonganj.
The chairman of the school, Avinash Dev said, while addressing the parents said that this meeting of parents of students with the respective teachers is an attempt to come further closer to each other in the larger interest of the students, teachers and parents.
Dev further said that it is a simple but strong build-up with parents and teachers.
The chairman later said, “We have readied a simple format seeking opinion and suggestion from the parents who are most free to write what they think about the school, its standard of teaching or what more they desire to see in the school.”
Dev said that it is a kind of feedback which will help them to serve students better.
A guardian later wrote that he wants better upkeep of the school toilets and also an improvement in teaching.
Another guardian praised the efforts of the school management in shaping lives and careers of the students.
Dev further added that the team will sincerely go through the opinions and suggestions and will work hard to act upon it as well.
The chairman urged the parents to inculcate a sense of etiquette among their children. He said that the school lays stress on the combination of education and etiquette.
On the occasion, the children presented a show that enthralled everyone present.
An extract from the Ramayana was also showcased, where a class four student named Abhishek played the role of ‘Ravan’.
Later, when asked the reason behind choosing to play Ravan, the child said that he didn’t find Ravan evil and that he deserves the attention of people for being a knowledgeable ruler.
