Jamshedpur, Dec 12: Clear sky with bright weather returned in most parts of the state on Monday as the impact of the cyclonic storm Mandous waned.
The sun shone brightly as the clouds got cleared. A forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre said that minimum readings would not witness any significant changes in the next two days, thereafter the Celsius is expected to witness a fall by two to three degree Celsius in subsequent two to three days.
Most districts today spotted a clear sky with the north-westerly wind making a comeback. Weathermen predicted fog and mist in the morning and mainly clear sky later in the day.
For the last two days, Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of around 13 degrees Celsius while Jamshedpur recorded around 16 degrees.
The minimum reading fluctuated between 11-12 degree Celsius at Ramgarh, Deoghar, Giridih and Bokaro.
Today’s satellite pictures suggested the formation of a western disturbance as a trough in middle and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 70°E to the north of Lat. 32°N.
The system is seen as a cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan and adjoining Punjab at 3.1 Km above the mean sea level.
