Ranchi, Dec 12: Hatia Railway Station will soon get a ‘rail coach restaurant’ which will be made on the old train coach. An e-auction will take place in the coming days to convert the coach into a restaurant. The interiors will be exquisitely designed to give visitors the experience of dining in a luxury restaurant. Along with the luxurious tables, beautiful lighting and bouquets will be installed.
The restaurant will be set up on the old coach of a train. For this, the railway division will first conduct an e-auction of the coach. After this, the restaurant will be designed. The unique concept restaurant will be opened outside the railway station.
In such a situation, along with railway passengers, outsiders will also be able to experience delicious food and an appealing ambience. The restaurant’s menu will include starters as well as both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
At the same time, the personnel serving food will also be in different costumes, which will promote the culture of Jharkhand as well as the Railways. Photos of historical places of Jharkhand will be shown through painting on the wall of the coach in Rail Coach Restaurant.
There will be a total of nine tables in the coach, where around 50 people will be able to fit in. A modular kitchen will also be made in the restaurant. Before Ranchi Railway Division, such restaurants have been set up in other cities like Indore, Jabalpur and Bhopal.
It has also been decided to open one in Ranchi Railway Division only after better experience of restaurants operating at other places. Earlier, there was a plan to open a Rail Coach restaurant at Ranchi Railway Station but due to the re-development of Ranchi station, the idea is being implemented at Hatia station.
