Ranchi PMLA court declares illegal stone mining accused Dahu Yadav, brother Sunil Yadav absconders

Ranchi, Dec 16: The special PMLA court of Prabhat Kumar Sharma in Ranchi has declared illegal stone mining accused Dahu Yadav and brother Sunil Yadav as absconders. The PMLA court on October 29 had issued an arrest warrant against them. The ED has officially informed the Sahibganj police about the court order and requested to trace and arrest them. Both are the natives of Sahibganj district and they are associates of Pankaj Mishra in the illegal stone mining and transportation. Pankaj Mishra is the MLA representative of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren.

Earlier, the ED had issued summons to Dahu Yadav and his brother. While Dahu Yadav last turned up before the ED on July 18 and went incommunicado. His brother who is also a local JMM functionary never appeared before the agency. The ED also froze his bank accounts and seized his other movable properties. On July 19, he informed the ED that owing to a sudden medical problem of his mother he had to rush to Sahibganj to look after his mother. He assured the ED that he would turn up once his mother gets well.

Earlier, on July 8, the ED had conducted searches in Sahibganj, Barhet, Rajmahal, Mirza Chauki and Barharwa and seized Rs 5.34 Crore. Later on, the ED had seized one inland vessel namely M.V.Infralink- III which Dahu Yadav had hired for inland water transportation. The ED also seized Rs 13.32 Crore lying in 50 bank accounts belonging to Pankaj Mishra, Dahu Yadav and others.
