Ranchi: Sansad Khel Mahotsav to be organized from Feb 17

Ranchi, Dec 18: A three-day sports festival ‘Sansad Khel Mahotsav’ is likely to be held at the Khelgaon Mega Sports Complex, Ranchi from February 17 and will continue till February 19.

In a press conference held at Ranchi Press Club, MP Sanjay Seth said that the sports festival will be held at the Khelgaon Mega Sports Complex in Ranchi, which will include both women’s and men’s teams. The Jharkhand Olympic Association will get technical assistance in organizing the games. Players who wish to participate in the competition can take the form from the office of Ranchi MP from January 20 to February 5. The closing ceremony of the sports festival will be held at 2 pm on February 19.

 

 

MP Sanjay Seth also said that there is an attempt to invite Olympic Association President PT Usha and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur as special guests. This initiative will encourage the players. More than 2000 players will participate in this competition.

The accommodation for the players of the Ichagarh and Silli assembly will be done in Khelgaon while the rest of the players will come from their homes. The arrangement of food will be done for the players in the sports village. Also, the players will be given new T-shirts featuring the game’s icons. There will also be a competition for band display based on the theme ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’.

At the Sports festival, the games will also include archery, martial arts, kabaddi, badminton, athletics and yogasan.
