Ramgarh, Dec 18: An annual conference of ‘Mission Pink Health’ (MPH) was organized at the Local Treat Restaurant on Sunday.
‘Mission Pink Health’ is an ambitious project of the Indian Medical Association, which is run in Jharkhand since 2018. Under this project, adolescent children from their schools and villages are taken to the hospital along with their family members where they are taught about anaemia, nutrition, menstruation, cleanliness, good and bad touch, etc.
The doctors of the Indian Medical Association, the medical staff, the members of the Doctors’ Wives Association and other workers take the child’s blood tests and check their haemoglobin levels. They are also given sanitary pads, iron tablets, and deworming medicine to maintain their everyday hygiene. The children are also examined by specialists. Around 109 camps have been set up in Ramgarh so far.
Jharkhand State’s MPHC Coordinator said that the MPH Ramgarh has reached a number of up to 85000 children. The project’s main aim is that every child of Jharkhand can get this information and facility and for this IMK is trying to establish the team in 19 branches of Jharkhand. A new team was also formed where Dr Anupam Singh and Secretary Dr Nidhi Bajaj were made the chairman and Dr Prabhat Kumar, civil surgeon of Ramgarh, is the patron of this team.
In this team, many senior doctors of Ramgarh and other enthusiastic doctors and para-medical staff are also included. Also, the members of the Doctors’ Wives Association participated in the conference of MPH.
