Ramgarh, Jan 6: Devsharan Mahto, a retired teacher from the Chhatar area of Ramgarh district fell into the trap of cyber crooks who duped him of Rs 2 lakh from his bank account. The victim filed a complaint at Ramgarh police station and Barkakana OP.

In the application, the victim stated that between September 28, 2022, to January 02, 2023, Rs 2 lakh has been withdrawn from his SBI Barkakana branch about 25 times.

Earlier, he had applied to the bank to block his account after he received the message of illegal withdrawal on November 16, 2022, and November 21, 2022. The victim claimed that due to gross negligence of the SBI bank’s employee, Rs 9,999 was again debited from his account between December 03, 2022, and January 02, 2023.

After this, another application was given to the bank on January 03 to block the bank account.

In particular, the gross negligence of the SBI bank employee came to the fore in the whole matter. On the other hand, an application was also given at Ramgarh police station about illegal withdrawal on November 21, 2022, but no action was taken.

Later, a complaint was subsequently lodged with Barkakana OP on January 5, demanding to investigate the entire matter and take appropriate action.
