New Delhi, Jan 10: The National Security Guard (NSG) checked the flight throughout the night after an international flight from Moscow to Goa made an emergency landing in Jamnagar, Gujarat, in response to a bomb threat, but they were unable to find any bombs or suspicious objects.
According to the Jamnagar SP, the NSG checked every passenger’s bags at the airport. The flight would likely depart on Tuesday between 10:30- 11.00 am, according to the airport authorities.
“A thorough search operation was conducted by NSG, police & BDS teams. Hand baggage, check-in baggage of passengers were also checked. The flight has been cleared (for takeoff), and after formalities, it will depart for its destination, Goa. It was a hoax call,” said the Jamnagar collector.
On the aircraft, there were more than 240 passengers. Following a bomb threat, all passengers were deplaned, and the aircraft was checked.
“The entire checking is now over. Each and every bag and part of the flight was checked. The flight is huge, and therefore it took so long to check. It will take time to take off because proper procedures need to be followed,” said the Airport director.
