Ranchi, Jan 11: The Indian Store at Radisson Blu, Ranchi, an outlet that provides handicraft products to guests has organised ‘Classilk Expo’ from Jan 7 to 14, 2023 in the hotel premises.
The Expo is an exhibition to provide a platform to weavers from across India who will be showcasing varieties of fabrics and garments both in silk and khadi, such as Bhagalpuri Tassar; Kosa and Khadi Silk of Bihar; Banarasi Silk from Uttar Pradesh; Chanderi and Maheshwari Silk, Patola, Bandhini and Kutch embroidery from Gujarat; Balucheri, Kantha, Tangail and Jamdani from West Bengal; Kosa Silk from Chhattisgarh; Monga Silk from Assam; Bangalore Silk and Kanjivaram in Karnataka; and much more.
‘Classilk Expo’ is being organised to empower the weavers and workers engaged in the silk sector. The Indian Store is taking this initiative to promote the silk industry. Officials at the Store said, “We promote contemporary versions of traditional craft and loom work. We produce straight from the weavers and craftsmen of India’s villages.”
