Ranchi, Jan 12: Soumendra Priyadarshi, the police commissioner for Twin City, stated on Thursday that a high level of security would be in place for the massive FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup in Bhubaneswar.
A total of 81 police platoons would be stationed in Bhubaneswar, according to information shared by the police commissioner.
Security of the players, officials, and their lodgings, as well as transportation to and from the arena and other sections of the city, will be the main focus. Furthermore, a comprehensive plan has been developed for improving the traffic system.
“Around 81 platoons of the police force will be deployed for overall security and other arrangements. Our focus will be on the security of players, officials and spectators and ensuring that they return with good memories and experience,” Priyadarshi stated.
Today, the Commissionerate Police unveiled a digital guide for the Hockey World Cup that provides in-depth information. The 12-page digital manual will be simple for everyone to access and contains information.
In addition to this, the Commissionerate Police unveiled a unique logo called ‘In Khakhi For Hockey’. According to Priyadarshi, the emblem would be worn by officials and security professionals who will be on duty for security during the Hockey World Cup.
