Hazaribag: Adani Foundation starts free medical van service

Hazaribag, Jan 20. Under the Gondalpara mining project, Adani Foundation on Friday started a free medical van service for the villagers.  Barkagaon block CO Amit Kisku and Medical Officer in charge of Community Health Center Dr BN Prasad jointly flagged off the ambulance. 

On this occasion, Dr Prasad said, “Adani Foundation is continuously getting many types of cooperation, which are commendable. Earlier nutrition kits were provided to TB patients, free health camps are being organized continuously in various rural areas. And now this medical van service is being started, which will greatly benefit the people here.” 

He also thanked the team of the Adani Foundation for this noble cause.

The circle officer of Barkagaon, Amit Kisku said, “The foundation’s service is incomparable. Hence, altogether, such social welfare work should be taken forward so that the common people get maximum benefit.”

Notably, the medical van service is fully equipped with medical facilities, oxygen cylinders and medicines, through which people living in far-flung areas like Gondalpura, Hahe, Fulang, Gali, Balodar and Ambajit of Barkagaon block will be greatly benefited. 

He said that the Adani Foundation is committed to bringing health facilities to the masses and is working diligently in this direction.

Through this medical van service, treatment of primary health-related diseases will be done through trained MBBS doctors, registered pharmacists, and registered nurses, and free medical consultations and free medicines will be distributed. 

Along with this, a blood test, sugar, BP, weight and asthma test, malaria, typhoid and various diseases will be done free of cost. Apart from this, medicines for fever, cough, and cold, children’s medicines, sanitary napkins, medicine for killing stomach worms (Albendazole) for children, vitamin C and iron medicine and syrup to remove anaemia in women are also free of cost. 

According to an estimate, the ambulance will visit two to three villages daily and provide health-related facilities to about a hundred patients.

A large number of villagers were present on the programme, including Barkagaon Police station in-charge Vinod Tirkey.
