Dhanbad, Feb 6: Manish Kumar of Garhwa district was unanimously elected new secretary while Pradip Verma of Ranchi and Richa Sanchita of Ramgarh were re-elected president and executive president respectively of All Jharkhand Chess Association (AJCA) for 2022-2025.

The official of the association said the AGM cum election of the association was held at Sarla Birla School Ranchi on Sunday evening under the supervision of returning officer Vijay Kumar Singh, registrar Sarla Birla University, Jharkhand Olympic Association (JOA) representative Subendu and All India Chess Association (AICA) observer Naresh Sharma (treasurer).

The election of AJCA had been due since May 2022 but due to an alleged tussle between president Pradip Verma and secretary Neeraj Mishra (International Master) election did not hold.
