Hazaribag, Feb 13: The president of the voluntary blood donors’ association Nirmal Jain today appealed to people that instead of giving a red rose on valentine’s day, donate red blood to save someone’s son.
Notably, the voluntary blood donors association will be organising a day-long blood donation camp tomorrow on the campus of Sheikh Bhikhari medical college and hospital.
Jain, who is known for donating blood the maximum number of times in the district, said it’s a noble work and can save a life.
“Save a life and make tomorrow a very special day by donating blood. The red blood is more important for us than the red rose,” he added.
He said that they will start this blood donation camp at 10 AM.
“We will give the blood to thalassemia and anaemic patients,” he informed.
Jain regularly organises blood donation camps in schools, colleges, banks and other organisations. He motivates people to donate blood so that no one dies in the district for not getting blood on time.
“It is our duty to donate blood. Blood donation is a good practice which benefits our bodies,” he added.
