Ranchi, Feb 18: A news release purportedly disseminated by Maoists and their supporters in Jharkhand calls for the arrest of Gautam Adani, accusing him of stealing public funds. Aside from that, the release calls for the arrest of the RBI governor, SBI chairman, and LIC director for having gloves on with Adani.

The release, which seems to be published by North Subzonal Bureau, Dandakaranya, and is signed by its spokesperson Mangli, calls for the expulsion of Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Shah, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman, among others, for their support for Adani.

The announcement makes a call to people to violently drive away RSS and BJP from villages.

The announcement also mentions the Hindenburg report and claims that Adani squandered seven lakh crores of the people’s money.

A senior police official in Jharkhand’s capital expressed surprise at the release.

“So far it has not come to my knowledge. The special branch has not provided us with any such information so far. Let me check at my own level,” SP (rural) of Ranchi Naushad Alam said.
