Dhanbad, Feb 17: The week-long workshop on Research Methodology and Research Paper Writing (RMRPW) at BIT Sindri concluded today with a keynote address by country and abroad institutions experts.
Prof (Dr) Sudhir Kumar Kashyap from the Central Institute of Minning and Fuel Research (CSIR) was the chief speaker on the last day of the workshop today and he shared his views and insights on the topic ‘Invention And Innovation Leading Research’ while addressing.
The workshop was organised by the Department of Electrical Engineering and technical and co-sponsored by IEEE Kolkata Section.
Dr Md Abdul Kalam, HoD of the Electrical Engineering department, said that the objective of the workshop was to aware the young M Tech & PhD scholars of writing and publish an effective research paper.
Dr Sudhir Kashyap elaborated on the difference between Invention and innovation and said that everyone is going through invention and innovation throughout one’s life. He also gave participants’ research scholar information about patents and the copyright of research.
Prof.(Dr.) Jyoti Sinha from the University of Manchester, U.K in his online address shed light on the topic and gave a few tips on Research Paper Writing.
“Research should be taken as the game and not to stress oneself overwriting the Paper,” said Prof. Sinha. He also shared his experience on how to write a present research paper in an effective manner.
During the Q&A session, the expert faculty members of renowned technical institutions cleared the different doubts and questions of participants.
The workshop was concluded with a valedictory function in the presence of Dr Ghanshyam, chairman of the Career Development Centre (CDC) of BIT Sindri, academic dean Pankaj Rai, HoD of the electrical engineering department Dr Abul Kalam, Dr Rajender Murmu, Dr DK Tanti and Dr Vineet Shekher, Dr Rajender Murmu.
Dr Md Abul Kalam HoD proposed a vote of thanks to participants and guest speakers for their valuable contributions to making the workshop successful. Dr Ghanshyam also motivated the participants through his speech.
