Deoghar, Feb 20: The New Delhi-Deoghar Indigo Flight 6E 6191 diverted and had an emergency landing at Lucknow airport today around 12 pm.
Talking to Lagatar24.com, a passenger Vijay Kumar told that after landing at the Lucknow airport, passengers were made to sit in the plane for half an hour and CRPF jawans in large numbers encircled the plane after that passengers got off the plane and were shifted in a bus.
Moreover, a team of fire brigades and three ambulances were also called. Sniffer dogs searched the luggage and belongings as well as the passengers, the passenger added.
He added that even luggage bags kept in the cabin of the plane were also searched by sniffers.
Vijay Kumar said they were unaware of what was going on only after boarding the plane they could get to know the story behind the emergency landing.
After two hours of staying at Lucknow, the flight took off for Deoghar and landed at 4 pm.
Talking with AAI Director Sandeep Dhingra confirmed the delay in Deoghar. Responding to the reason behind the emergency landing he replied the Lucknow air authority knows better.
Notably, after hearing the story of a bomb kept in flight the passengers panicked.
