Hazaribag, March 16: The State Level first vice-chancellors’ conference will be held at Vinoba Bhave University on March 27 and 28. The Vice-chancellors of eleven different universities of the state will participate in this workshop.
Officials said the two-day state-level first Vice-chancellors’ conference will be organised in the hosting of Vinoba Bhave University under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Jharkhand.
The Chief Guest in the inaugural session will be the governor cum chancellor of the state universities, C P Radhakrishnan. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will attend the program on the second day as the chief guest, which is the concluding day.
This workshop will be organised for talks on issues including higher education reform, the teacher shortage, National Education Policy 2020, and different issues relating to the university and to stimulate research. Sources said other problems being faced by the higher education sector in Jharkhand will also be discussed in which 100 educationists from across the state are likely to participate.
Apart from Vinoba Bhave University, vice chancellors of Ranchi University, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Kolhan University, Binod Bihari Mahato University, Sidhu Kanu University, Nilamber Pitambar University, Jharkhand State Open University, Birsa Agricultural University,
Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University and Jharkhand Technological University are likely to join the workshop. Vice Chancellor of Gujarat’s Vadodara University has also given his consent to attend the event. All programs will be held in the Vivekananda Auditorium of the university.
Preparations have started in University with vice-chancellor Dr Mukul Narayan Dev monitoring the arrangements. Even preparations have started to decorate the guest house and Vivekananda auditorium. The entire university administration is busy preparing to welcome the new Jharkhand Governor, added officials.
