Jamshedpur, March 20: Many places across the state is expected to witness light to moderate rain during the next 24 hours said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre today.
Satellite pictures suggested that a trough runs East Rajasthan and adjoining West Madhya Pradesh to Northwest Bay of Bengal across north Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is likely to take place at isolated places over north and adjoining central parts of the
state on Tuesday.
While from Wednesday mainly clear sky and dry weather is expected in most parts of the state.
However, thunder and lightning is expected at isolated places over the state on Thursday.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain with thunderstorm occurred at most places
while shallow fog was also observed at one or two places over the state during the past 24- hours.
The highest rainfall recorded was
58.6 mm at Bandgaon (West Singhbhum).
The highest maximum temperature of 32.8°C was recorded atJamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 16.4°C was recorded at Ranchi.
