Hazaribag, March 31: With the district administration banning DJ sounds, different akharas once again booked Tasha parties of Bengal for the Ram Navami procession.  Once Tasha was famous in Hazaribagh processions but it lost its charm after DJ came here some twelve years ago.

About Tasha, an akhara member said it’s expensive and not apt in the present circumstances. State president of BJP OBC morcha Amardeep Yadav, former president of Ram Navami Maha Samiti said tasha lost its charm due to many reasons. He told Lagatar24.com that Tasha party comes from Bengal having 15 to 20 members. Akhara needs Rs.1lakh to book tasha besides making arrangements for their accommodation and food. If any damage occurs to instruments, then akhara is left with no other option but to pay a fine for it. Yadav said DJ is much cheaper than Tasha. The minimum amount you need to book DJ is Rs.40,000 and you can play it as long as you wish. In the case of tasha, the quality of those playing instruments deteriorate if they play for long, he added.
