Infant body found in dustbin in Dhanbad

Dhanbad, April 3: The body of an infant wrapped up in clothes was found dumped in a dust bin at hustle -bustle Rangatand area near Dhanbad railway station under the Sadar police station on early morning of Tuesday,

A police official said that a rag picker spotted the dumped body in a concrete dustbin. The body which reportedly looked hardly a few hours old, was wrapped in clothes. The rag picker raised alarm duly as he saw in the early morning.  People of the area reached the trash can, which was full of domestic rejects, and informed the Sadar police station.

Sub Inspector Ashok Tiwary of the Sadar police station who reached the spot immediately said that the investigation is being done to identify the person who dumped the body in the dust bin. “The culprit would be traced soon on basis of CCTV footage of the area,” he said,

Rangatand Shramik Chowk through which National Highway -32 crosses remains hustle bustle round the clock as the railway station and the bus stop are very near to it. There is also an auto stand where three wheelers run round the clock. In such a situation dumping of an infant in the concrete dust bin has surprised the people.
