New Delhi, April 7: Rahul Gandhi will launch the countrywide Satyamev Jayate campaign on April 10 in Kolar, the same city where he made the comment about the Modi surname that led to his criminal defamation conviction and expulsion from the Parliament. The event will now take place on April 10 instead of April 9, as originally planned.
On April 10, the former Congress leader will open the KPCC headquarters in Bengaluru before travelling to Kolar. Since the state leadership preferred that the office be inaugurated on April 10 rather than April 9, the date has been adjusted.
It is significant that Rahul Gandhi’s Satyamev Jayate was planned to fall on the same day as Project Tiger’s golden anniversary, which PM Modi would celebrate on April 9.
In front of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and other leaders, Rahul Gandhi will deliver a “message of change from the very soil of Kolar,” the Congress had said.
