Ranchi, May 5: An FIR was registered today against Nilay Institute chairman Bhim Munda at Sukhdeonagar police station in the Jharkhand capital.
Munda, who runs the institute at Thakurgaon on the outskirt of Jharkhand’s capital and resides at Kadru, has been alleged of embezzling an amount of Rs 4 crore. The allegation has been levelled by one Siyaram Singh, a resident of Sukhdeonagar.
Officer-in-charge of Sukhdeonagar police station Rajesh Kumar Sinha confirmed the FIR saying Singh is the partner of Munda. He did not respond when the amount was taken and for what purpose.
Munda could not be contacted for his comment. An insider of Nilay Institute said it was an old matter which has surfaced again.
“In 2011, Singh before the IT officials had refused to accept the amount as his own. Now after 12 years, he had raised the issue again. Munda and Singh have an old dispute over the money. In 2015 Munda was abducted. Primary investigation hinted Singh in it,” the insider said.
