Ranchi, may 8: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that this time along with the entrepreneurs of the country, entrepreneurs from abroad have also got an opportunity to participate in the India International Mega Trade Fair. “Such events are a better effort to increase the industry in the state. Our government wants that such efforts should continue with strength,” he said.
The Chief Minister while inaugurating the closing ceremony of “14th India International Mega Trade Fair” organized under the aegis of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and GS Marketing at Morhabadi Maidan, said that the state government will stand with the Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce in every possible way regarding industrial investment in the state.
Long history of industrialization
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is such a state which entrepreneurs have been eyeing since independence, be it industrial units Tata, Birla or coal companies, be it different types of industrial houses. HEC, which brought revolution in the field of industry in the country, is also established in Jharkhand. The country’s first fertilizer factory was also set up in Jharkhand. But, in the journey of hundreds of years, where Jharkhand should have stood in the field of industrialization is not visible today. But our government is continuously taking steps for industrial investment in the state, he added.
There is all the potential to promote the industry
The Chief Minister said that our state has all the capabilities to promote industry. “Still, Jharkhand is included in the category of backward states in the country. Whereas, there are many states in the country which do not have that much resources, but today they are among the leading states.” The Chief Minister also said that Jharkhand has natural beauty as well as mineral wealth and hardworking people, yet why we have lagged behind in terms of industrialization as compared to other states, it is a matter of concern. The Chief Minister said that we all have to make joint efforts to give a better direction to this state in the coming times and make it one of the leading states of the country. The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce should also do positive work in the field of agriculture.
Best industrial policy
The Chief Minister said that our government has done the work of formulating an excellent industrial policy. “Today many big and small corporate houses have expressed their desire to invest here. Recently, a large corporate sector has laid the foundation stone for setting up an industrial unit in Jamshedpur.”
The Chief Minister said that our government wants the MSME industry to be promoted in the state. “Our government is working to give 25 percent subsidy to promote industrial units.” The Chief Minister said that if Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce has any good plan for the betterment of the industry, then our government will consider increasing the subsidy to 35 to 40 percent.
On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, many ambitious schemes have been brought to promote industrialization in the state.
