Ranchi: Former Chief Minister Raghubar Das today congratulated the 3468 high school teachers who got appointment letters from his successor Hemant Soren today.
Expressing special gratitude to the Supreme Court, Das said that had it not been for the intervention of the court, the appointment of these teachers would not have been possible. He requested the Hemant government not to create any hindrance between youth and jobs. and destroy their career.
Taking a dig at Hemant Soren, Das pointed out that the former used to dub the appointments as the sin of Raghubar Sarkar.
“I want to tell Chief Minister Hemant Soren that appointments are not a sin but an act of virtue. Today, when the Hemant government has been forced to distribute appointment letters to high school teachers due to the orders of the Supreme Court, the public has the right to know what tricks the Hemant government has done to stop these appointments?” Das, the BJP national vice president, said.
“Our BJP government started the recruitment process of 17,786 high school teachers in 2016. My government had given appointment letters to thousands of youths. In the final stage of the process, the matter went to the court, due to which the rest of the process got pending. After taking over the power, the Hemant government first did the work of putting the appointments in cold storage. Instead of taking a strong stand in the court, the entire government, including the Chief Minister, kept trying to ensure that the youth of Jharkhand did not get jobs. Not only this, the Hemant government ordered to withdraw all the advertisements related to the appointments started in my government. In those advertisements, there was also an advertisement for Panchayat Secretary and Clerk,” he said.
“Just fearing that the credit for these appointments will go to our BJP government, the Hemant government put a stop to the appointments by hanging the future of the youth. Today the Hemant government is trying to take credit for the appointment of high school teachers, but, in fact, our youth are the rightful ones, who firmly presented their case before the Supreme Court and the decision came in their favor. This appointment is a tight slap on the face of Hemant Sarkar by the youth,” Das said.
Das pointed out that the Hemant government did not want to make the appointment till the last moment, so it kept procrastinating despite the Supreme Court’s order.
“Young candidates even filed a contempt petition against the Hemant government in the Supreme Court. After that the Supreme Court had ordered the Chief Secretary to be physically present. Right now, the Hemant government will have to give appointment letters to the panchayat secretary and clerks as well. Thousands of youths of our Jharkhand are wandering for their rights for the last three-four years due to the politics of ‘latkao, atkao and bhatako’ of the Hemant government. Will Hemant Soren be able to get back these precious years that he has wasted?” he asked.
