Dhanbad, May 20: IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad, department of Management Studies and Industrial Department will conduct five-day executive development programme for middle and senior executives of South Eastern Coalfield Limited ( SECL), Bilaspur from May 22 to 26 at Executive Development Centre of the institute,
Prof Dhiraj Kumar, deputy director, IIT ISM will inaugurate the five-day EDP titled ‘Project and Finance Management with Application Software for Executives of SECL’.
Prof Rajni Singh, dean media and branding, Prof Sagar Pal, dean (R&D), Prof Bibhas Chandra, HoD department of Management Studies and Industrial Engineering (MSIE), JK Pattanayak, professor department of MSIE, Prof Rashmi Singh, Programme Coordinator and Prof Niladri Das, associate professor department of MSIE will impart training in the programme to be attended by chief managers, senior managers, managers and deputy managers level authorities of the coal company.
An IIT ISM official giving detail about the programme said that the 18 sessions of the five -day residential training will cover a wide range of topics.
Deputy director Prof Dhiraj Kumar will impart training on sustainable development in mining projects and star ratings of mines. Prof Rajni Singh on motivation issues in project management, Prof JK Pattanayak on strategic financial management, Prof Sandeep Mondal on project planning and scheduling, Prof Rashmi Singh on risk analysis and management with simulation software, Prof Shashank Bansal on costing issues sources of financing and working capital management on mining projects.
Apart from it, Prof Niladri Das will impart training on financial appraisal of projects and financial statement analysis, Prof Aparna Krishna on social impact assessment, Prof Preetie Roy on sustainable investment in projects.
One session on sustainability and economic issues in industrial projects will also be conducted by Prof Prabal Sen, Ex professor and head, EDC, XLRI Jamshedpur as an external expert.
