Chatra, June 8: A one-day workshop on Basic Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) was organised today under the chairmanship of Chatra DC Abu Imran at Government-aided +2 High School in town. The objective of the workshop is to train the teachers on the basic requirements of the FLN program and on the learning material developed for its implementation for the development of basic language mathematics skills in children.
The workshop was started by Imran by lighting the lamp. After which the district education officer Dinesh Kumar Mishra said the workshop under the National Education Policy 2020, Basic Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) is being implemented at the national level by the Government of India along with Nipun Bharat. He said that in order to master the teachers in this program, the workshop is being organised continuously by the government of India with the help of states. In this series, this training program has been organised by the Government of Jharkhand with the aim of training the teachers of the state.
Describing the importance of education, Imran said that basic literacy and numeracy are important pillars of the development process of children. For its effective implementation, teachers and parents are contributing as well. He said that a lot of inspirational work is being done for the upliftment of the education system at the world level. In such a situation, we need to make our basic system more perfect. Addressing the teachers present in the workshop, he said that while working according to the target set in the workshop, basic literacy and numeracy should be strengthened in the children.
District Education Officer Dinesh Kumar Mishra, District Education Superintendent Abhishek Badaik and other concerned were present in the workshop.
