Ramgarh, June 10: A meeting of the District Level Mining Task Force was organized under the chairmanship of  DC  Madhavi Mishra in the Collectorate Hall. The DC and SP Piyush Pandey inquired about the work done in the light of the instructions given in the previous meeting of the District Level Mining Task Force, after which the DC said that according to the instructions issued by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), there is a complete ban on the lifting of sand from June 10 to October 15.

In this regard, she directed the District Mining Officer, Circle Officers, Station House Officers and other officials to strictly ensure its compliance in the Ramgarh district. She said that during the period of June 10 to October 15, the sand can be sold only through the official stockist.  During this, she instructed the officers to regularly inspect the stockists working in different areas of the district and check their stock.

She said that in view of the upcoming rainy season, it is very important for the safety of the people that all agencies and district administration officers should not extract coal through illegal mouths in any of their areas.  For this, she gave important instructions to the agencies and officials of the district administration regarding regular site inspections and ensuring that all illegal mouths are properly sealed.

She further instructed the factory inspector and other mining-related officers present to regularly inspect the factories and ensure the operation of the factories according to the rules and to regularly make available the investigation report related to this at the district level.
