Ramgarh, June 22: Railways has almost fixed the fare of the proposed Vande Bharat Express train between Patna to Ranchi and Ranchi to Patna. It has been sent to the concerned top official for approval. Once permission is received from there, the fixed fare will be put into the railway’s reservation system. Vande Bharat fare varies from Patna to Ranchi and Ranchi to Patna. At the same time, churning is going on to fix the fare for other stations.
CPRO of East Central Railway Virendra Kumar said that the fare proposal of Vande Bharat has been sent to the top authority for approval and they are waiting for approval on this.
The possible proposed fare for Vande Bharat’s luxury coach from Patna to Ranchi has been fixed at Rs 2174 (with catering Rs 414 optional) and Rs 1245 (catering Rs 359 optional) for the general coach. Whereas, the fare for the luxury coach from Ranchi to Patna has been fixed at Rs 2353 (with catering Rs 593 optional) and for the general coach at Rs 1396 (with catering Rs 510 optional).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train on June 27 through video conferencing. Passengers will be able to travel in this semi high speed train after the formal commencement.
The Vande Bharat train will start from Patna in the morning via Jehanabad, Gaya, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Barkakana and reach Ranchi-Hatia in the afternoon. While leaving Ranchi in the afternoon, it will reach back to Patna at night. Railways has done trials of Vande Bharat twice on this route.
