Ranchi, July 6: Organised under the aegis of the Kendriya Sarna Sangharsh Samiti, a procession was taken out from Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium to Albert Ekka Chowk to protest against the Uniform Civil Code and the incident of Madhya Pradesh BJP leader Pravesh Shukla urinating on a tribal boy.
State president of Central Sarna Sangharsh Samiti Shiva Kachhap led the procession.
Leading the procession, Kacchap said that the BJP is an anti-tribal party and tribal society will never come under its influence. He said that such a fallen act with a tribal was never expected in the civil society.
“The BJP government in Madhya Pradesh has become autocratic and anti-tribal. This is the reason the tribal people are being harassed there. We will not tolerate this. If the Uniform Civil Code is implemented then the existence of the tribals will be in danger, all the traditions and customs will end, we oppose it,” he said.
