Jamshedpur, July 13: Several isolated places over Jharkhand are expected to experience heavy showers in the next 72 hours, said a weather bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
Today and tomorrow (July 13 and July 14) heavy rain is likely at isolated places over north-eastern and adjoining central parts of the state.
Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected at isolated places over Jharkhand in the next 24 hours.
On July 15, Saturday, heavy rain is likely at isolated places over south-eastern parts of the state.
On July 16, Sunday heavy rain is likely at isolated places over northeastern and adjoining central parts of the state.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Bikaner, Gwalior, Sidhi, Gaya, Balurghat and thence northeastwards to Arunachal Pradesh.
Jharkhand was facing a rain deficit of 44 per cent. Against a normal of 307 mm, the state has so far received 172 mm of rain.
