Daltonganj, July 13: The Chief Conservator of Forest and Field Director of the Palamu Tiger Reserve (PTR), Kumar Ashutosh, Deputy Director of South Division Kumar Ashish, and Ranger Umesh Dubey inaugurated four government quarters for the forest sub beat at Bareysarn in the PTR.
Field Director Kumar Ashutosh said, “We have now four quarters for our forester-in-charge and forest guards. We plan to build more such if and when the fund is made available to us by the government.”
Ashutosh further said, “Bareysarn range is a very important range. Our team maintains a high level of caution. Leopards frequent here more.”
“Once a leopard had entered into our soft release centre of the sambhars here which we got out after a great many efforts,” he recalled.
The Deputy Director South division of the PTR Kumar Ashish said, “The forest sub-beat officials’ quarters were long overdue.”
Forester in-charge Paramjeet Tiwary said these newly inaugurated quarters have electricity and solar panel too. Water is no issue here.
The occupants of the newly inaugurated four government quarters are Paramjeet Tiwary, Nirbhay Kumar (both forester in charge) and Chandan Kumar and Vardan Bhagat (forest guards).
