Ramgarh police arrest 11 armed miscreants travelling in van

Ramgarh, July 13: Ramgarh SP Piyush Pandey today said that 11 armed miscreants were arrested early in the morning.

He said, “Mandu police received information that some criminals are planning to carry out the incident of robbery and all are travelling to Ramgarh area riding in a Maruti Omni.  For necessary action, under the leadership of the Mandu police station-in-charge with police officer and force, started checking by placing barricades on the route leading to Hazaribagh at NH-33 located at the main gate of Mandu police station.  A Maruti van was signalled to stop on seeing them coming at a high speed from Ramgarh, but the driver tried to escape by dodging. However, with the help of the accompanying police armed forces, all were arrested”.

“A total of 11 criminals were arrested, from whose possession illegal firearms were also recovered,” the SP said.

The arrested accused are Kishore Kumar, a resident of Hazaribag, Mukesh Kumar (driver of Omni), a resident of Hazaribag, Himanshu Kumar, Umesh Saw, Bobby Kumar, Ajit Kumar, Sonu Kumar, Balram Munda, Tayyab Ansari, Kundan Kumar and Rakesh Saw.

The recovered articles include, country made pistol with magazine – 4 pieces, revolver with magazine -1 piece, country made magazine- 1 piece, live bullets – 12 pieces, empty magazine – 1 piece, misfired bullet – 1 piece, bhujali – 2 pieces, mobile – 11 pieces and a silver colour Maruti Van No. – JH – 02R – 4996.
