Ranchi, July 14: Kids of Pragya Gurukul Play School during Shravan Mahotsava at their school were today made aware of the struggle of farmers and importance for respect for food.
They were told how farmers struggle to grow crops to feed people. They were explained a farmer’s routine from dawn to dusk to give an idea how difficult it is to get food.
The schoolchildren, on the occasion, shared their thoughts and poems on the importance of rain, water conservation and respect for the climate and vowed not to waste food.
All the participants were in green clothes. Envisioning a green world, they carved artworks and dedicated them to the school.
School principal Aradhana Shukla said the purpose of the programme was to prepare young children for big responsibilities. She said the school has over 5000 students of the play school and is pursuing their further education in reputed schools across the city.
