Ranchi, July 16: In Dehradun, during a two-day health conference, Jharkhand’s pride soared when Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, entrusted the responsibility of conducting the stage to Jharkhand’s Health Minister, Banna Gupta. Minister Gupta fulfilled this responsibility excellently. Banna tweeted that on the final day of the health conference, he had the opportunity to chair the proceedings. It was a matter of pride for both Jharkhand and him that he was given the opportunity to lead a program organized at the national level by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
On the last day of the program, Banna Gupta suggested to work by making a joint action plan for PC & PNDT Act and TB eradication. He also demanded Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya to give a special grant to the state of Jharkhand, increase the honorarium of Sahiya sisters and provide modern and basic infrastructure. The Union Health Minister congratulated Jharkhand for setting a target of December 2024 for TB elimination. While the country has set a target of 2025 and the world for 2030 to eradicate TB.
